I love organic textures and colors and when I saw a photo of a rusty Volkswagen Beetle I knew I had to try it in pastels! I love helping the viewer's eye to mix the colors themselves by adding lots of unblended layers for them to work with. I also used only ONE type/brand of pastel for this piece (Nupastel), attempting to see how far I could push and manipulate my medium.
