Give Her the Long Main Sheet
This work is in pastel on Mi-Teintes touch paper. This is a character that came into my life when I was going thru a very rough transitioning from work to retirement to art full time. His name is Jacques. He is a sea farer. The Newfoundlander's have a saying "Give Her the Long Main Sheet". It means to let the wind fill your sails and push you forward to new beginnings. This is so fitting as I am surging forward now and not looking behind me. Enjoy.
