The Farm House at Terre Ugo
UART 400 Board, underpainting with new pastel, from my photo reference - this was taken at the lavender farm, Terre Ugo, Provence France on a blistering summer day - the stone farm house with it's light, cooling shadows provided a bit of afternoon refuge from the heat. I was inspired by the natural earthy colors of Provence, textures of the stone and wanting to try to capture the essence of that summer day.
