Falling Upward
This painting was based on the feeling I had after reading Richard Rohr’s book “Falling Upward”. How to translate the beauty of that experience, that very human experience, into a painting? After the idea took shape in my mind, I set up an outdoor still life with beautiful roses, both tea roses and ice bergs. I think this painting captures the feeling I was after….falling, but upward!
