Portrait of Rosie’s granddaughter on pastelmat. I used a grid to begin drawing. I used a light colored pastel pencil to lay in highlights on her face. I began to lay in deep flesh tones ,with nupastels , for shadows. I then layered mid tones and highlights with softer pastels.
